This is achieved through Retrofitting, which includes improvements to the building’s fabric through insulation and airtightness measures, upgrading heating and hot water systems to more energy efficient systems such as heat pumps or solar thermal, and considering renewable energy sources such as Solar PV.

We operate under PAS 2035, which creates a framework for Whole House Retrofit, providing customers with piece of mind to know that measures will be installed methodically to achieve the best results, and never superfluously.
At Haus Energi, we aim to help reduce carbon emissions emitted from our existing housing stock to help meet the country’s Net Zero targets. As a result of installing Retrofit measures, customers can expect to achieve lower energy usage, lower energy bills, and live in a healthy home. Reduce the heat loss from your home with the use of internal and external wall insulation, ground floor insulation, draughtproofing measures, and upgrading your windows and doors. Using a 'Fabric First' approach then allows us to look at renewable energy and improved building services, such as Solar PV, Solar Thermal, Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery (MVHR).

Whole House Retrofit delivers a complete, comprehensive solution to Retrofit, considering every aspect of the home and how improvements can be made, including the order in which measures should be installed to achieve the best results. This includes airtightness, insulation, ventilation, building services, and renewable energy. A ‘Fabric First’ approach is adopted, to ensure that your home demands as little energy as possible, before considering upgrades to building services and the introduction of renewable energy.
Retrofit Assessments are carried out to assess the home’s current performance, highlight areas for improvement, and assess which measures will be best suited.
Every home is different, and we respect this. A thorough Retrofit Assessment is crucial to ensure that we know exactly what we are working with, what the customer’s desired outcomes are, and that the measures we install are worthwhile and effective.
Getting the design right is imperative to help achieve the results highlighted in the Retrofit Assessment and subsequent Retrofit Plan.
Designs are compliant with PAS 2035, enabling us to install measures that are right for the existing construction of the home, are compatible with one another, and futureproofed against the effects of climate change, such as overheating and adverse weather conditions.
Throughout the process, a Retrofit Coordinator will oversee every stage, collating information from the design and assessment and checking the compliance and compatibility. We will obtain quotes from contractors and suppliers, ensuring that designs are fully understood, before overseeing the project from start to finish and handover.
We work closely with everyone involved in the project, keeping the customer’s desired outcomes at the heart of what we do.
Thermal Imaging helps to highlight areas of a home that are losing heat, and therefore energy. These help to provide options to improve underperforming elements, such as thermal bridging and cold spots, poorly performing or non-existent insulation, and heat loss through old windows and doors.
Operating under the Residential Property Surveyors Association (RPSA), we can provide property surveys for homebuyers. These include Building Surveys, Homebuyer, and condition surveys.
Our reports provide customers with a thorough, and easy to read, overview of the home’s condition.
